SUEPC members will be joining the law firm of "Dewey, Cheatam and Howe, PC" for an educational exercise regarding potential pitfalls involving the transfer of real property for individuals and companies. The luncheon will provide a forum for “firm members” to work together to identify the problems and options to address, resolve or mitigate issues and risks.
Guest Speaker Bio:
Matthew D. Ekins is a Senior Associate with Gallian Wilcox Welker Olson & Beckstrom, LC and licensed to practice in Utah and Nevada. His practice areas primarily involve real estate transactions and litigation, estate planning, trust administration and probate, land use and zoning law, construction law and municipal law. Prior to his legal practice, Matt worked in the title industry for over four years. Mr. Ekins attended Utah State University and is a True Aggie. He received his juris doctorate from Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. Outside the office, Matt enjoys canyoneering in Southern Utah’s spectacular slot canyons, fly fishing and hiking with his family.
